Have you ever wondered how deaf people set an alarm clock, how blind people operate a smartphone or how someone manages to achieve a high score in a video game despite being paralyzed? In addition to a lot of self-discipline and practice, assistive technologies also play a key role here.

As part of the AT Lab for inclusive design, you have the opportunity to get to know and try out various assistive technologies in small teams. Creative ideas are also always welcome. For example, one team developed an interactive game on their own as part of the AT Lab.

You can choose from one of several subject areas or create one yourself in consultation with us.

  • Accessible games with Xbox Adaptive Controller
  • Operating aids for smartphones
  • Assistive technologies for visual needs
  • Assistive technologies for hearing needs
  • Assistive technologies for easier motor control
  • Assistive technologies for cognitive needs
  • Assistive technologies for ADHD needs
  • Assistive technologies for mental health needs

Successful completion is rewarded with 1 ECTS point. For more you can join the Moodle course linked above. Joining the Moodle course is non-binding and does not oblige you to participate in the course.

There is also an information event at the beginning of each semester. Just bring your questions and requests.
